Spiro Paule
Chief Executive Officer
After graduating from University some 30 years ago, Spiro Paule entered the Financial Services industry as an Adviser initially with Legal and General UK Financial Services and later with US health care benefit company Aetna, servicing the referral clients of a number of accountancy practices. Spiro interrupted his advisory career in 1984 to pursue three years of corporate management experience with Aetna where he performed a number of regional and state management roles. In 1987, Spiro decided to resume his advisory career with brother Terry Paule to build a new business named Financial Index Australia (FIA). The business grew steadily and was successful in providing client financial services to accountants, lawyers and through a joint venture with a national insurance brokering firm.
During the mid 90’s, Spiro and Terry made a key investment commitment to commence the in-house development of an electronically delivered business management system capable of lessening business and compliance risk and improving efficiencies. This was the humble beginning of the present national Your General Manager (YGM) system, which services the needs of FIA nationally. YGM has enabled FIA to achieve the highest international quality service standard, ISO 9001:20080.
Spiro holds a Bachelor of Jurisprudence from Monash University, a Diploma from the Australian Insurance Institute, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM). Besides being the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FIA, he is also Managing Director and continues with some client advising duties.
