Once again, areas of NSW are experiencing severe flooding and our thoughts are with all those impacted during this difficult time. Thank you to the emergency services and first responders who are working tirelessly to help community members in need.

The NSW government has recently announced funding for flooded regions from 27 June 2022 onwards in response to declared Natural Disaster Areas and it’s our priority here at Findex to support your immediate and future needs, so that you may rebuild and recover in the event you were affected.

We want to help ensure you can access the flood and disaster loans and grants that are currently open and opening soon. Emergency assistance for flood affected communities has extended to a number of flood and disaster grants for individuals and families, small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) and not-for-profit organisations. This may include:

Primary producers:

  • Concessional loans up to $130,000

  • Transport subsidies up to $15,000

Small business:

  • Concessional loans up to $130,000

Sporting clubs:

  • Concessional loans up to $10,000

  • $2,000 grant

Not-for-profit organisations:

Assistance is also being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Agreements (DRFA) which includes:

  • Help for those whose homes or belongings have been damaged (subject to eligibility criteria).

  • Help with the costs of cleaning up and restoring damaged road and essential public assets for affected local councils.

  • Concessional interest rate loans for small business, primary producers and non-profit organisations.

  • Freight subsidies for primary producers.
