Findex Management Team

Terry Paule

As a co-founder of several successful business ventures and Chairman of the Findex Group Board, Terry has amassed over 30 years experience in both the business world and as a financial adviser. He has a proven track record in building businesses by establishing strong operational frameworks, systems and processes, procedures, people recruitment and creating a strong and positive cultural environment to support and manage the implementation process necessary to successfully corporatise, market and brand these companies. He believes that the role of Chairman is one of leadership, facilitation, mentoring, risk management and strategic guidance in order to ensure the board of directors functions properly and can provide necessary support, resources and supervision to the CEO and senior management. This should be done whilst maintaining a high level of transparency, ethical standards and corporate governance and ensure that all obligations to, and interests of, all stakeholders and shareholders are known and met accordingly. Terry has held various directorships over the years including Chairman of Associated Planners Management, other business groups, sporting organisations and also obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University in 1983. In 1998, Terry and his business partners purchased Lemnos Foods after the previous owners employed him (then a partner and advisor at Financial Index Australia) to develop a strategy to sell the business. After more than 13 years of successful business management and exponential growth, which included an export program to over 40 countries, Lemnos was sold in late 2010 to the French owned Lactalis group. Terry is currently the founder and CEO of My Co which has been established to focus primarily on new idea and startup opportunities and in particular in the health & well-being and global food and beverage sector. Recent expansion in this sector has seen the opening of offices in Hong Kong and Melbourne.

Spiro Paule

Spiro and his brother, Terry Paule, founded Financial Index Australia in 1987. This company, the foundation of Findex, was formed with a desire to provide clients with an “index of financial services under one roof.” This vision would, in time, form the basis of the Findex Family Office and its role as Australia’s largest fully integrated advisory business. Spiro graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence, and later obtained a Diploma from the Australian Insurance Institute. He began his career in the financial services industry working as an Adviser with Legal and General (UK) financial services firm in Australia. In 1984, looking to diversify his career experience, Spiro pursued three years of corporate management with US firm Aetna. He performed a number of State and Regional Management roles, preparing him for what would become a future manager of people and businesses. By 1987, Spiro decided to return to his advisory career and joined his brother, Terry, to found Financial Index Australia. Spiro has maintained a strong vision for Findex since its inception, which is to provide a holistic service offering to all clients. From this vision the Findex Family Office was born; a revolutionary service offering, catering for all clients not just the ultra-wealthy. This service offering has positioned Findex as a unique and innovative company, revolutionising the way financial services are delivered to businesses and individuals. As Managing Director and CEO, Spiro is responsible for the achievement of the Findex Board’s set objectives and is instrumental in providing leadership and strategic direction relevant to Findex’s long term vision and day to day business activities. Spiro is very active and highly interested in seeking out and sponsoring innovations and new technologies in order to keep Findex at the leading edge of the financial services industry. In addition to his role as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Spiro also chairs the Board of SproutX, Findex’s agricultural technology accelerator. SproutX exists to identify and commercialise agricultural innovation startups. Spiro is also a longstanding Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM).
