Clark is the Chairman of the Mercury Capital suite of private equity funds. Clark is also the chief executive of Mercury Capital Investments Pty Limited (the manager of Fund 1 and Fund 2), Mercury Capital Investments No.3 Pty Limited (the manager of Fund 3) and MCI twenty2 Pty Limited (the manager of Fund twenty2).

Clark has worked in investment markets for over 30 years, which includes over 20 years of private equity experience. He left Goldman Sachs JBWere (GSJBW) in 2009 after 14 years with the firm where he was a Managing Director, Head of Merchant Banking (the Principal Investment Area), a Director of GSJBW Australia, a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Chairman of GSJBW New Zealand. Whilst at GSJBW, Clark was Chairman of the Private Equity and Mezzanine Finance Investment Funds. Prior to managing the GSJBW Merchant Banking Division, Clark was Chief Executive Officer of GSJBW in New Zealand.

Clark has served on the boards of Mercury Capital portfolio companies Hexagon, Novotech, Estia, HealthStrong, Australian Animal Hospitals, Crushing Industries, International Volunteer HQ, Nexus, MessageMedia, Are Media, Squiz and BlueStar. Clark currently serves on the board of Fund 2 portfolio company Tamaki Health, and Fund 3 portfolio companies TEG, ResourceCo, Squiz and Re.Group. He is additionally a board observer for the Fund’s investment in E&P Financial Group (E&P).

Clark holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
