Shane and Kirsty McConnell, owners of Tauranga’s G.J. Gardner franchise, have always loved making something out of nothing. It’s a philosophy they apply to the new homes they build every year, as well as the broader Tauranga community in which they live and work. 

But personal success isn’t what drives Shane and Kirsty. Driven by a higher purpose they call ‘live to give’, Shane and Kirsty recognise their blessings and are passionate about giving back to their community. As their business grew so did their philanthropic aspirations and with Findex’s support, they set up a charitable a trust called the Shaker Foundation to support charitable foundations in the local region.
